Tired of cleaning up after your children?

Not even sure where to begin with the piles of mess in their room? We do our kids a disservice when we don’t expect them to clean up after themselves. Maintaining a tidy space is a skill they’ll need to be a responsible and capable adult.

Frankly, you also deserve to enjoy your children, without feeling constant resentment about having to spend all your “spare” time cleaning up after them!

Kids need to learn how to take part in keeping their home tidy. This takes more than just consistent reminders. Children need to become invested in the process and feel a sense of control and ownership over their space.

When I work with children, I try to tap into what’s important to them. Do they love making art and want to be able to access all of their crafting supplies? Do they need a special spot for all those Pokemon cards? If we’re only focused on our kids doing the things that please us, our work will fail. They need a foundation that includes feeling pride and joy - being able to find the things they love and feel at home in their space.

  • “The day Laurie organized my son’s room, he came home from school and worked at his desk for a few hours! (his desk top he hadn’t seen in months because it was covered in junk) He has been putting stuff away and keeping it tidy ever since.”

  • “Laurie tackled our teenager's room with grace, patience, and respect, giving him full agency over his space and offering wise input.  She gave us all the tools we needed to get over the finish line, and even handled the stairs and the junk run!  Our very neurodivergent family is very grateful to her and she's our go-to for hard projects now!
